Growing a community Do's and Don'ts—in a nutshell

Here is some Monday Motivation for you—pull up your granny panties, and remember you are amazing. You are a Rock Star, and you are valued.

If there is anything I have learned over the past few years, it's that when you stand up, and stand out—you are more then likely going to be stood on. I say, "do it anyway."

I have been personally degraded by people in positions of power, people in a community leadership role, and people whom other people follow like sheep.

Here are the Do’s and Don’ts of growing a community, in a nut shell:

  • Do be kind.

  • Do look for ways to support each other.

  • Do watch out for youth and seniors.

  • Do support local.

  • Do ask questions.

  • Don’t sit and listen to gossip.

  • Don’t tolerate bullying. (From adults especially!)

  • Don’t put all your faith in one basket.

  • Don’t be afraid to stand up and stand alone to make a point!

  • Don’t forget that everyone has something to offer!

Lately, I have heard great things about myself that I didn’t even know. I would; however, like to take a minute or two and pray for those individuals. I pray that someday they may find peace with who they are, and that they find true compassion for people with out strings attached for their own personal growth, or status in the community.

I also pray that in their journey of human growth—they find inner peace and love.

Stand up, stand out and try not to get stepped on. Remember, you are amazing!
