Wanted Immediately: B and/or G Licensed Drivers in North Dundas area for school runs


If you’re looking for a job in which you get to make a difference in the lives of children on a daily basis then we have the perfect job for you.


As a School Bus Driver, you are the familiar face that children see on their way to and from school. You are also the person that gets them there safely.


This job is a part-time, split-shift position from Monday through Friday which gives you lots of flexibility and free time during the day with the added bonus of having evenings, weekends and holidays to yourself.


The ideal candidate is a retired or semi-retired individual, a stay-at-home parent or a self-employed individual.

Hours of Work

7 a.m. to 9 a.m. & 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. is typical. You must be available to work both the morning and afternoon shift from Monday through Friday.


Qualifications

  • 21 or older.

  • Valid G-License and at least 2 years driving experience in Canada.

  • No more than 3 demerit points accumulated and no speeding tickets over 24km / hr

  • No history within the past six years of a motor vehicle accident involving serious injury or fatalities.

  • No history within the past six years of a Driving Under the Influence conviction or reckless or careless driving conviction.

  • Clear Criminal Background Check and Vulnerable Sector Screen (VSS).

  • Pass the Ministry of Transportation’s Medical Test for School Bus Drivers (i.e., heart disease, nervous system, eyesight, hearing and other disorders which may interfere with the operation of a school bus would affect eligibility).

  • Pass the company fitness test.

  • Successful completion of the Company provided training program required by the province to obtain the provincial driver’s license required to operate a school bus.

  • Available to work a split shift (both morning and afternoon shifts) on a daily basis from Monday to Friday.

  • Valid First Aid Certificate.

  • A personal cell phone (for emergencies) and access to a computer with email, printer and scanner.
