On October 6th and 7th, 2018, Ontario Provincial Police officers conducted speed measuring enforcement in SD&G and intercepted the following vehicles for travelling at excessive speeds:
October 6th, 2018—9:05 a.m. (South Dundas); vehicle stopped travelling 155 km/h (100 km/h zone)(Highway 401). Male driver (33 years old) from: Winnipeg, Manitoba.
October 6th, 2018—2:40 p.m., (South Dundas); vehicle stopped travelling 181 km/h (100 km/h zone)(Highway 401). Male driver (21 years old) from: Kingston, Ontario.
October 6th, 2018—8:09 p.m., (South Glengarry); vehicle stopped travelling 176 km/h (100 km/h zone)(Highway 401). Male driver from Ontario.
October 7th, 2018—8:59 a.m. (South Stormont); vehicle stopped travelling 163 km/h (100 km/h zone). Male driver (43 years old) from Pierrefonds, Quebec.
The vehicles were impounded and the driver's permits seized for seven (7) days in accordance to policy and all were charged with Stunt Driving (Highway Traffic Act).
