Significant snowfall expected Monday evening and overnight.
Snow associated with an approaching low pressure system is expected to move into Eastern Ontario this evening and persist into Tuesday morning. Some areas may see snowfall amounts of 5 to 10 cm.
Snow may be accompanied by ice pellets this evening and overnight before changing to scattered showers Tuesday morning. There is also a risk of freezing rain during the changeover.
Motorists are urged to exercise caution tonight and Tuesday morning as road conditions may be poor at times.
