SD&G OPP intercept 2 vehicles on 401 for excessive speeds

On Tuesday, October 30th, 2018 Ontario Provincial Police officers conducted speed measuring enforcement in SD&G and intercepted the following vehicles for travelling at excessive speeds.


At 8:20 a.m., a 41-year-old driver from North York, Ontario was stopped in South Dundas Township travelling 161 km/h in a 100 km/h zone (Highway 401).


At 9:22 a.m., a 58-year-old driver from Pierrefonds, Quebec was stopped in South Dundas Township travelling 153 km/h in a 100 km/h zone (HIghway 401).


Both vehicles were impounded, the driver's permits seized for 7 days (according to policy), and both drivers were charged with Stunt Driving (Highway Traffic Act).
