Between Friday, January 4th and Sunday, January 6th, 2019 SD&G OPP officers conducted speed measuring enforcement on highway 401 and intercepted the following vehicles for travelling at excessive speeds.
On January 4th at 10:38 p.m., an 18-year-old male driver from Mississauga, Ontario was stopped travelling 155 km/h on Highway 401 in South Dundas.
On January 5th at 8:15 a.m., a 26-year old male driver from Laval, Quebec was stopped travelling 158 km/h on Highway 401 in South Dundas.
On January 5th at 2:08 p.m., a 26-year old male driver from Brampton, Ontario was stopped travelling 154 km/h on Highway 401 in South Dundas.
On January 6th at 11:48 p.m., a 20-year-old male driver from Montreal, Quebec was stopped travelling 156 km/h on Highway 401 in South Glengarry.
The vehicles were impounded and their driver's permits were seized for 7 days. Stunt driving charges were laid under the Highway Traffic Act.
