On Sunday, October 28th, 2018 at approximately 11:40 p.m., an SD&G OPP officer intercepted a vehicle while conducting traffic enforcement on Highway 417 in North Glengarry Township.
The 31-year-old male driver, Cleef-Ford Benoit-Adam from Longueil, Quebec, falsely identified himself to police. Further investigation revealed the man was in contravention of previous release conditions.
The man was arrested and charged with:
Fail to comply with probation order (2 counts)
Fail to comply with an Undertaking
Obstruct peace officer
He was released from custody and scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Alexandria on Wednesday, December 5th, 2018.
The SD&G Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are investigating several other incidents after responding to 181 calls for service from Tuesday, October 23rd, 2018 to Monday, October 29th, 2018.
