SD&G OPP officers continue to remain at the scene of a missing scuba diver in the St. Lawrence River, near Lock 21 on MacDonell Island in South Stormont Township.
The preliminary police investigation indicated that just prior to 9:00 AM on Tuesday, June 11th, 2019, a scuba diver returned to the shore and his diving partner, for reasons still under investigation, did not surface.
The missing scuba diver has now been identified by police as 46-year-old Thomas (Andy) Phillips.
Police continue to search with assistance from the SD&G OPP Marine Unit.
