Ottawa-based entrepreneur Ken Dale says hes filled a void in the market with TouchPlow, a mobile phone app that allows users to order snow clearing services from the comfort of your living room or from anywhere, for that matter. He says the benefits include the fact you dont have to be locked into a contract. The downside is the cost. He says a one-time snow removal will average between $20 and $40. And if it snowed for three months straight, that would certainly add up.
