OPP execute search warrant—weapons and property seized

On Thursday, October 25th, 2018 members of the OPP Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU), Emergency Response Team (ERT) and SD&G OPP officers executed a Criminal Code Search Warrant at a property on Timmins Road in North Dundas Township.


The search resulted in the seizure of multiple power tools, ammunition, crossbows and an air pistol handgun.


37-year-old Philip Moyes of North Dundas, Ontario was arrested and charged with:

  • Careless use of a firearm, weapon, prohibited device or ammunition

  • Fail to comply with conditions of a recognizance (4 counts)

He was released and is scheduled to appear in Morrisburg court on Tuesday, December 4th, 2018.


A female at the location was also arrested on the strength of a warrant from the Ottawa Police Service.


37-year-old Misty Hamelin of North Dundas was taken into custody and transported to the Ottawa Police Service.

The SD&G Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are investigating several other incidents after responding to 181 calls for service from Tuesday, October 23rd, 2018 to Monday, October 29th, 2018.
