OPP execute Search Warrant on Beach Street in Winchester, seize drugs and weapons


On Thursday, December 6th, 2018, members of the SD&G OPP Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU) and Emergency Response Team (ERT) officers executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act Search Warrant at a property on Beach Street in Winchester.


The search warrant resulted in the seizure of a quantity of crystal methamphetamine, marijuana, Canadian currency, and weapons that included a baton, hatchet, knife and pellet guns.


40-year-old Christopher McRoberts of North Dundas was arrested and charged with:

  • Possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking

  • Possession of illicit cannabis (Cannabis Act)

  • Possession of weapon for dangerous purpose (2 counts)

  • Fail to comply with conditions of an undertaking (2 counts)

23-year-old Randy Froats of South Dundas was arrested and charged with:

  • Possession of a controlled substance

  • Unauthorized possession of a weapon

  • Possession of break in instruments

  • Fail to comply with conditions of an undertaking (2 counts)

McRoberts and Froats were held in custody (bail) and are scheduled to appear in Cornwall Court.


30-year-old Courtney Robinson of Prescott was arrested and charged with:

  • Possession of a controlled substance

  • Possession of illicit cannabis (Cannabis Act)

She was released and scheduled to appear in Morrisburg Court on January 8th, 2019.
