Noncompliance with parking restrictions this winter could get your vehicle ticketed or towed

The Municipality of South Dundas would like to remind residents that in order to facilitate snow clearing on local roads, vehicles must not be parked in a manner that interferes with snow removal operations.

Residents are also being reminded that noncompliance could result in a ticket, and/or towing of your vehicle.

South Dundas By-Law No. 2015-30 is a By-Law that regulates parking and stopping on municipal roads. It was passed on June 2nd, 2015.

According to the By-Law, a "vehicle" includes a trailer, traction engine, farm tractor, road-building machine, and any vehicle drawn, propelled or driven by any kind of power, including motorized snow vehicles, ATVs, golf carts and any other type of off-road vehicle.

Parking in a manner that interferes with snow removal operations carries a maximum penalty of $60, or $40 for early payment.
