In the very-early morning hours of Thursday, November 8th, 2018 MT Mia Desgagnes went into Morrisburg Anchorage.
As reported by The Prescott Anchor, up to a dozen ships were at various anchorages throughout the St. Lawrence Seaway due to gail force winds, late Tuesday afternoon through late Wednesday Afternoon.
Iroquois Lock had suspended vessel transit for several hours Wednesday, causing a slight back up for the locks, sending Mia Desgagnes into anchorage at Morrisburg.
The lock was opened late Wednesday afternoon and the vessel traffic is now underway.
Drew Hosick recorded this drone footage of Mia Desgagnes off Morrisburg earlier this year. Built in 2017, M/T Mia Desgagnes is the world's first polar-class dual-fuel oil/chemical tanker.
Mia Desgages is an oil product dual-fueled LNG tanker out of Quebec City, QC.
