It's believed that a vehicle struck a student pedestrian at or near the school. The pedestrian was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Several TR Leger students who were outside of the school witnessed the event as it occurred.
A source close to the incident says that teachers who responded to the scene are struggling emotionally and that bystanders are pretty shaken up.

The Hold and Secure was lifted at approximately 10:15 a.m.
County Road 43 was re-opened to traffic by 11:30 a.m.
