Kemptville OPP seek witnesses




On October 9th, 2018, the Kemptville OPP (Ontario Provincial Police) began a robbery investigation, which was reported to have occurred on October 3rd, 2018. The victim of the robbery was a 9 year old female student, from North Grenville. The student had been out on afternoon recess break, at the Sainte-Marguerite-Bourgeoys Catholic School, located on Campus Drive in Kemptville. The student reported that she was in the school yard, behind a treed area, when she was grabbed by a masked male holding a rock. The male demanded money from the student. The student did not have any money and the child was released without injury.

The male is described as:

  • Approximately 16 years of age

  • Appeared African-American

  • Approximately 165 cm tall

  • Shoulder length braided hair

  • Wearing a dark blue hoodie with a zipper, dark blue jeans, black Nike shoes with black laces.

  • Carrying a black backpack


The Kemptville OPP continue to investigate this incident and request that any persons who may have had encounters with, or seen a male matching this description, to please contact Constable Denys Baranovskiy, of the Kemptville OPP at 613-258-3441.
