CTV Ottawa had some exciting news to share on Friday. J.J Clarke will be returning to CTV News at Six on Monday, October 15th, 2018.
Clarke has been battling a major illness for approximately 6 months. He was to return in August, but his health said otherwise.
Some viewers caught up with Clarke at a Thanksgiving Dinner at his local church, where he indicated he was planning on coming back soon.

J.J Clarke is the last remaining original anchor of CJOH-DT, VHF channel 13, which is a CTV owned-and-operated television station located in Ottawa, Ontario. The station is owned by Bell Media, as part of a twinstick with CTV Two outlet CHRO-TV.
On August 1st, 1995, the station's longtime sports anchor Brian Smith was shot in the station's parking lot by a released mental patient.
Former CJOH/CTV News anchor Max Keeping was the anchor of the nightly newscast from 1972 until his retirement in 2010 and was the station's community ambassador until March, 2012. Keeping died on October 1st, 2015.
In December of 2013, former CTV News anchor Leigh Chapple passed away at age 58.
On November 17th, 2015, former CJOH news anchor Carol Anne Meehan was laid off by station owner Bell Media. Meehan is currently running for Ottawa City Council.
CTV Ottawa can also be seen on Rogers Cable channel 7 and in high definition channel 518 in Ottawa and Glengarry-Prescott-Russell and on Videotron channel 7 and in high defintion on digital channel 607 in Gatineau.
CJOH provides CTV network coverage for all of Eastern Ontario, a large segment of Western Quebec and portions of Northern New York in the United States.
CJOH changed its branding to "CTV Ottawa" in 2005, when CTV's owned-and-operated stations began to stop using their call-signs within each station's branding.
