On Monday, February 18th, 2019 at approximately 9:30 p.m., SD&G OPP officers, with the assistance of the SD&G Crime Unit, responded to a report of an armed robbery at the Circle K convenience store located in the Iroquois Plaza.
The police investigation indicated that two unknown suspects entered the store with a weapon and demanded cash. The suspects fled the scene with a quantity of Canadian currency and tobacco products.
There were no injuries.
The suspects were located in the area and were arrested and charged. The two males were also charged in relation to an earlier robbery with a weapon at the same location.
34-year-old Kasey Molson of Cardinal, Ontario was arrested and is charged with:
Robbery with weapon ( 2 counts)
Disguise with Intent ( 2 counts)
Possession of a weapon for dangerous purpose (2 counts)
Conspiracy to commit indictable offence
28-year-old Travis Visser of Augusta Township, Ontario was arrested and is charged with:
Robbery with weapon (2 counts)
Disguise with Intent (2 counts)
Possession of a weapon for dangerous purpose (2 counts)
Conspiracy to commit indictable offence
Both males were held in custody (bail) and are to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall.
The SD&G OPP Crime Unit continues to investigate and no further information will be released at this time.
