Members of Grenville County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are currently at the scene of a four (4) vehicle collision on Highway 401, westbound lane, east of Johnstown, Ontario.
Preliminary investigation has indicated that at approximately 2:00 p.m., a tractor trailer collided with a box truck, both travelling westbound, in the construction zone.
The adult driver (lone occupant) of the box truck was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Four other people sustained minor injuries and were taken to hospital where they are stable.
Grenville County OPP continue to investigate the collision with the assistance of the OPP Traffic Collision Investigators (TCI).
Names are being withheld until family members can be told.
As the investigation continues, detours are temporarily in place at County Road 16 and Cardinal exit.
