A test of the Alert Ready system will be conducted on Wednesday, November 28th, 2018 at 1:55 p.m. (2:55 p.m. local time in Quebec). The test will be distributed on TV, radio and compatible wireless devices nationwide.
Please note, not all mobile devices will receive the test message. For general device compatibility, you can refer to the Alert Ready website. Alert Ready recommends that you contact your wireless service provider with specific inquiries regarding public alerting services and device compatibility. What types of alerts are broadcast?
Only authorized government agencies can issue alerts. Together, government officials developed a specific list of the types of alerts that are considered a threat to life.
