Former-broadcaster Carol Anne Meehan hung on to an early lead, then knocked off incumbent Ottawa councillor Michael Qaqish in Gloucester-South Nepean during the most recent 2018 municipal elections.
There's still about a month before Meehan will be sworn in as a new Ottawa councillor, but already the veteran broadcaster is in the middle of her first social media firestorm.
