Join CBC News on Tuesday, November 6th, 2018 for a panel discussion on fake news and misinformation.

Fake news, misinformation, post-truth. These words are thrown around daily, but what does it all mean? How does it affect you and the information you consume online?


Join CBC Ottawa in partnership with the Ottawa Public Library and the National Arts Centre for a night of conversation, debate and analysis.


Date: Tuesday, November 6th, 2018

Time: 7 pm to 8 pm (doors open at 6:30 p.m.)

Location: Peter A. Herrndorf Place at the National Arts Centre, 1 Elgin Street, Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.


CBC Ottawa News at 6 co-host Adrian Harewood will moderate a panel of experts as they respond to the state of today's media and discuss how to ensure you're getting the full story.

What is social media's role in fake news? How do you show both side's of the story? What are some tips to help decode misinformation when consuming news digitally?
