IROQUOIS—The 2nd All Candidates Night, hosted by the South Dundas Chamber of Commerce, takes place at the Iroquois Civic Centre on Thursday, October 11th, 2018 at 7 p.m.

The format for the All Candidates Night will be as follows:

  • Each candidate for school trustee will be given 2 minutes to speak at the beginning of the evening starting at 7:00 p.m., however, will not be included in the Question and Answer period.

  • For opening statements, the Mayors will be given 3 minutes and the Deputy Mayors and Councillors will be given 2 minutes. This will allow them to introduce themselves, give some background information and outline their views on specific issues and why they have offered their services to South Dundas residents.

  • The floor will then be open to a Question and Answer period. This is a great opportunity to ask candidates specific questions that concern you and your community.

  • Candidates will be allowed 90 seconds to respond to questions.

  • If a question is asked to a specific candidate, the moderator may allow other candidates to comment on the question after the said candidate has first responded.

  • At 8:30 p.m., candidates will be given one minute for closing statements.

  • It should be noted that this is not a debate. There will be no rebuttals or further questions following the candidate's answer.

The Iroquois Civic Centre will close at 9:30 p.m.

The Iroquois Civic Centre is located at 2 Dundas Street in Iroquois, Ontario.
