After battling Alzheimer's for over 10 years mom peacefully passed away on March 18th, 2019 at the age of 88 years old.  Mom has left us to be reunited with dad.  After graduating from Carleton University she became a nursing student at Winchester District Memorial Hospital.  From there she went to the Grace Hospital to become a Grace grad. Even though she retired from formal nursing in 1985 at age 55 she had quite a registered nursing career. She nursed in pediatrics at the Montfont Hospital and on staff at the Old General Hospital and then she turned to one on one private nursing with the Community Nursing Registry in Ottawa.  She nursed Pierre Elliot Trudeau when he was Prime Minister, Lloyd Francis and Robert Campeau’s wife but her favorite patient was Olive Diefenbaker who she cared for both in hospital and at Olive’s home in Rockcliffe Park.

Agnes is survived by her sons Gary Embury (Colleen) of Ormond and David Robinson (Marilyn) of Winchester Springs, her step-children Michael Embury (Lauren) of Kamploops, Victor Embury of Ottawa, Sharon Embury of Ottawa and her grandchildren Chris Embury, Ryan Embury, Cindy Robinson-Schoenfeld, Sherri Robinson, Michelle Embury, She was predeceased by her husband William Embury, her parents Marvin and Lillie Robinson and her siblings Roy Robinson, Lloyd Robinson, Audrey Myers and Effie Keeler.

We would like to thank all the staff and drivers at Dundas Community Cares (Meals on Wheels) as many times they went above and beyond to help us. To all the caring staff at Dundas Manor where mom lived since November 30th, 2017. Their caring and professional touch gave our family piece of mind. Special thanks to Dr. Burke who cared for mom for many years.
