In addition to dancing and eating and bidding on great auction items, be prepared to laugh at this year’s premier country event. Rachelle Elie has just been confirmed as the evening’s MC. There are only a handful of tickets left - so get yours before they are all gone.

“I’m really looking forward to being part of Boots & Bling,” says Rachelle. “I’m going to make sure everyone has a lot of fun at Matilda Hall.”

Rachelle Elie has written and performed five one woman shows and was nominated for Best BreakOut Artist with the Canadian Comedy Awards in 2018. In 2019, she performed in the HubCap Comedy Festival in New Brunswick and was one of 4 comedians chosen to perform in the Tommy Chong Gala.

Rachelle won an Outstanding Comedy Award with the Ottawa Fringe and recently performed her one woman show at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. Rachelle is also a regular at Absolute Comedy and Yuk Yuk's.

Rachelle says she’s also a country girl at heart. “I live in the country and love nature. And I’m a big fan of Rory Gardiner’s music too. We’ve worked together before so it will be great to see and hear him again at Boots & Bling.”

Boots & Bling is being held at Matilda Hall in Dixon’s Corners and will begin with cocktails at 5:15 PM, followed by a buffet dinner – including beef tenderloin and chicken catered by AJ’s Catering – and silent and live auctions. At 9:00 PM, we will dance the night away with Rory Gardiner. Stylish country/western attire is encouraged!

Proceeds from the event go to the Family Care Fund, ‘supporting care for families just like yours’. “Many people are not aware that our tax dollars do not fund everything that a hospital needs. This event is one of the many ways we are raising money to help ensure compassionate, excellent health care at WDMH,” explains Cindy Peters, Manager of Direct Mail & Events.

Tickets are $100 each. Call the Foundation Office at 613-774-2422, ext. 6162 to order yours

today.

Matilda Hall is located at 4421 Brinston Road.
