As 2019 begins, it’s a great time to look back on the past year. At Dundas Manor, we have much to celebrate – including 40 years of caring.

Residents and staff held several 40th Anniversary events in 2018, complete with a new song and video to commemorate this important milestone.

“Together, we achieved full Accreditation with Exemplary Standing, which is the highest award available from Accreditation Canada. We reviewed best practices to ensure that we are providing Person and Family-Centred Care. We also successfully completed several Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care inspections. And our residents told us we are doing a good job through the annual satisfaction survey,” notes Cholly Boland, CEO.

“And we always want to do more,” adds Administrator Susan Poirier. “We’re improving quality in all aspects of care and caring for our residents here at home with fewer resident transfers to the emergency department. We also continue to make improvements to our residents’ dining experience.”

Most importantly, we have fun. “We want to provide the best experiences for our residents, from our dreams come true program to monthly celebrations and entertainment. Last year, we organized 25 memorable outings for our residents, plus 84 bike rides,” sums up Susan. “We want to enrich the lives of our residents by nourishing mind, body, heart and soul.
