MORRISBURG—401 westbound lanes at Morrisburg have re-opened this afternoon, following a fatal collision this morning.
SD&G OPP officers were called to the scene at approximately 9:37 a.m. this morning, after a tractor trailer travelling westbound on Highway 401 collided with a passenger vehicle which, for reasons still under investigation, had entered Highway 401 travelling eastbound in the westbound lanes.
The male driver, who was alone in the passenger vehicle at the time, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Names are being withheld pending notification of next-of-kin.
The driver of the tractor trailer was uninjured.
