On Sunday, February 10th, 2019 at approximately 12:56 p.m., SD&G OPP officers intercepted a vehicle on Highway 401 in South Stormont Township for travelling 159km/hr in a posted 100km/hr zone. During the interaction, the male driver became combative, resisted arrest and assaulted an officer. At the OPP detachment, he continued to be combative and assaulted officers once again.
30-year old Felix Young of Markham, Ontario, was arrested and is charged with:
Assault Peace Officer (3 counts)
Resist Peace Peace Officer
Stunt Driving (Highway Traffic Act)
He was held in custody (bail) and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall on Monday, February 11th, 2019.
