The House of Lazarus was a recipient of a $2,735 grant from The Hershey Company and Food Banks Canada. The grant will fund a seven-week Food Explorers food preparation course for 11 of Glengarry Inter-Agency Group's Dundas Youth Center's 9 to 12 year-old youths.The program will be held at the Winchester United Church.(no dates have been confirmed)

The Food Explorer Outreach program goals are to teach youth, learn and follow a recipe.

safely use basic kitchen equipment & tools explore a variety of foods, learn how foods affect the human body and discover individual food preferences.
