You're invited to a Morrisburg Beach Party on Saturday, June 22nd, 2019

Friends of the Morrisburg Waterfront cordially invites you to a party at the Morrisburg Beach from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM on Saturday, June 22nd, 2019.

You can help celebrate improvements to the Morrisburg Beach by enjoying a free BBQ, Strawberry Short Cake, games for kids, musical entertainment, and sand castle competition.

This event is organized by Friends of the Morrisburg Waterfront/Morrisburg Waterfront Advisory Committee — an advisory committee to the Municipality of South Dundas.

Improvements to the Morrisburg Beach include a greatly expanded beach front, double the amount of docks for swimmers, water erosion protection, new picnic tables, expanded parking and more green space. A water bottle filling station will be added soon.

The waterfront park in Morrisburg is a much-loved green space that is used for many activities, from just walking and sightseeing, to fishing, boating, swimming, diving, cycling and special events, such as the annual Tubie Festival.

Friends of the Morrisburg Waterfront continues a tradition of ‘people helping people’ to further enhance the park with community-supported improvements, such as an improved beach for the children, an amphitheatre that is more user friendly, more picnic tables, benches and extended walking and cycling paths.
