In a continued effort to support youth initiatives in the County of Glengarry, the SD&G OPP Golf Tournament Committee attended the kick-off breakfast of an upcoming fundraiser (Bike-a-thon) for the Children's Treatment Centre (CTC) in Cornwall this past Wednesday, May 8th, 2019. One facet of support focuses on youth mental health, therefore a commitment of $10,000 over 2 years ($5000-2019, $5000-2020) was presented to the Centre, which is non-profit and treats youth who have been abused.

Over the 15 years of the tournament's existence, approximately $450,000.00 has been raised from the event and the generosity of golfers, businesses and silent donors. Other organizations receiving funds are; Jumpstart Foundation - Alexandria chapter, North Glengarry Youth Centre, Richelieu Club (Art for Joy), Eastern Ontario Talent Contest (Centre Culturel), Snowsuit Fund (Caisse Populaire Alexandria employees), St-Vincent de Paul Society, Big Brothers-Big sisters, Equipe Psyco-Sociale and Glengarry Junior Golfers.

SD&G OPP is committed to its youth - our future leaders...
